Paradise (2017)
12 water colors on paper,
one series in different sizes / a second series paper size 28 x 38cm
All images in this series began with one line from Jorges Luís Borges' “Poem of the Gifts”.
Some years ago I discovered the quote “I, who always thought of paradise in form and image as a library“ written on the walls of a library in Melbourne. The words remained in my memory. Later, as I read the entire poem, the significance of the quotation shifted. As for now, I am not at all certain what it means.
